Encore Backstage: Private Recordings

Encore BackstageEncore Backstage is your behind-the-scenes pass to the latest and greatest developments on the Encore platform!

When it comes to forming new collaborations or securing new bookings, one of the most important pieces of material you can present to new contacts is a set of recordings of your playing or singing.

Few clients are likely to book an act for their event before first hearing (or ideally, watching) you play, and the more recordings you have, the more confident a client will be in booking you.

Having said that, we understand that there are some tracks you would rather not have publicly available on your Encore profile. These may be old recordings that don’t do your playing full justice, or perhaps tracks that you are only allowed to share privately.

With this in mind, we’re pleased to introduce Private Recordings on Encore.

From today, you’ll be able to make certain MP3 uploads private. To unlock these private tracks, clients will need your passcode, which you are welcome to give them when discussing a booking.

Making your recordings private is easy:

1. Upload your MP3 using our MP3 uploader

2. Click the “Track visibility” toggle, which will make your track Private

3. Choose a passcode

4. Give this passcode to new clients, who can use it to unlock your private tracks
